3M 5925 VHB Double Sided Tape is made of acrylic foam as the base material and coated with acrylic adhesive.
- Size: Wide 1 inch & 1/2 inch(optional), length 15.6ft, single layer thickness 0.64mm(around 1/40 inch).
- This double sided tape is Industrial grade double sided tape, widely used for assembly of electronic products. Attaching exterior parts to the car, such as spoilers, car trim strips, door sill strips, corner anti-collision strips, wheel arcs, baffles, rear guards, stainless steel panels, aluminum slats for rear windows, ventilation visors and door strips,automobile and motorcycle logo, etc.
- It’s also great for using at home and office, like fasten LED light strips, nameplate, address tags, signs, mirrors, coat hangers, photo frames and power strip.
- Waterproof, solvent and high temperature resistance. It provides permanent adhesion even in bathroom and outdoors.
- It suits great for glass, marble, plastic, PVC, ceramic tile, wood and metal.
To achieve the best bonding effect, the bonding surface must be smooth, clean and dry.
The best installation temperature range for this double sided tape is 16-40℃. If the temperature is below 10℃, it cannot be firmly attached to the object because the adhesives become harden. It is recommended to use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the double-sided tape, so the chemical molecules on the tape can recover to the best condition.
Characteristics:
1.Long-term temperature resistance is 200℉, short-term up to 300℉.
2.Good adhesion, can be applied to non-structural fasteners of various materials.
3.Waterproof, solvent resistant, high temperature resistance, good adhesion on curved surfaces, can fill uneven surfaces, excellent filling performance, unique adhesive also suitable for different surfaces.
Note: This double-sided tape requires time and pressure to achieve maximum adhesion. You need to press hard on the surface and then remove the red protective film.
Leave it for 3 days to have full bond strength. The best adherence occurs over time. It will reach 50% bond strength in 20 minutes, 90% bond strength in 24 hours, and 100% bond strength after 72 hours.
